Eastern Arenac Sportmans Shooting Range Rules

Follow the rules of the range and the range officer.  PERIOD.

  1. ALL firearms are to remain unloaded, breach open, and on the gun rack until it is time for the shooter to come to the line.
  2. Light System:
    Red Light means range is hot (stay in the pavilion, DO NOT go into range area);
    Green Light means range cold (safe to go into range area). 
    Ring the bell for every change.
  3. Once at the shooting line, the shooter may proceed to load his/her firearm.  No loading of the gun until line is hot, light is “RED”, and bell is rung.
  4. Barrel should remain up from the gun rack to the line or to the line of fire.  ALL guns at the line should be pointed down range.
  5. All shooters, when the shooting round is finished:  open the breach, keeping the gun barrel pointed up, put the gun back on the rack, ring the bell and turn the light to green.  Shooters are requested to pick up their spent shotgun shell casings and/or brass, and dispose of them in the spent casing’s pail.
  6. Any person under the age of 18 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult when participating or shooting at the range.
  7. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted on the EASTERN ARENAC SPORTSMANS CLUB property.
  8. NO SMOKING allowed in the Pavilion area, Shooting lines, and/or Clubhouse.
  9. EYE AND EAR PROTECTION IS MANDATORY.
  10. NO explosive target or piercing ammo allowed.
  11. NO automatic weapons such as bump stocks or binary triggers allowed.
  12. ALL pistols must be holstered unless at the pistol firing line.
  13. Before firing pistols, range must be clear and the gate closed. PISTOL AGE “21”
  14. Members are required to have their membership cards with them (and visible) when using the clubs’ facilities.
  15. Pets must be restrained (if other members are present) and the owner is responsible for their actions.  You must clean up after your dog(s) as well.
