Mission of the Eastern Arenac Sportsmans Club

The purpose of this association shall be:

  1. To future and advance the cause of the environment and conservation in all its phases, to eliminate pollution through education and action.
  2. To encourage and promote the proper management of all natural resources: fish, game, minerals, air, water, forest, and land in the State of Michigan; recognizing a valid management tool, the harvesting through legal means and use of surplus wildlife and other renewable sources.
  3. To protect and defend the right of our citizens to own, keep and bear arms.
  4. To inform and educate the public, especially the youth, in true sportsmanship, safe and proper use of firearms and archery equipment as prescribed by the State of Michigan and the National Rifle Association.

EASC is a non-profit (501c) organization.  We hold at least (1) Hunter Safety Class every year at no cost to the students.  We believe in educating our youth and providing the necessary tools for them to be SAFE and RESPONSIBLE outdoors persons.  We used to have several volunteer, DNR certified Instructors that donated their time to teach our youth the safe and proper handling of firearms and bows.  Due to retirements, now we only have a few.   We would encourage members, if you would like to help us in our endeavors, sign up to be an instructor.  We want to pass on these skills to future generations.

We are eligible to receive donations due to our non-profit status.
